I initially trained as a Psychodynamic Counsellor, furthering my skills and knowledge with a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy and Counselling (UKCP). I am also a Clinical Supervisor (UKCP). I work in private practice in Enfield with supervisees who work with clients from four years of age through to adolescence and into adulthood, in both long and short term therapy. I use a range of integrative skills, models and mediums to enable a collaborative supervisory relationship. I am a member of the UKCP and BACP. I have experience working with people of all ages, from a wide range of backgrounds experiencing many different emotional difficulties. I also offer consultations, Supervision and therapy to staff and children in Looked After Children’s homes. Difference and diversity, sexuality and gender are areas I have knowledge of, alongside trauma and neurodiversity.

I have been working as a child, adolescent, and adult art psychotherapist since 2008 in schools, charities, residential clinics and privately.

Working with young people with emotional, behavioural, and social difficulties in an educational setting, I offered creative avenues such as painting, sculpture, photography, guided imagery and play as mean of support and working through changes and difficult times. Additionally, at the Bayberry Clinic, I facilitated group and individual art psychotherapy for health care professionals in recovery from substance dependency and mental health difficulties, such as anxiety, depression and eating disorders.

As a Clinical Team Lead, I have experience in psychotherapy assessments, therapy plan formulation and case management for children and families as well as liaising with schools, CAMHS, psychiatrists and specialist therapists.

I am experienced in supporting supervisees who work in schools, private practice, and mental health organisations.

I have experience of assessing trainee therapists and counsellors.

I have worked for over twenty years as a psychotherapist and counsellor with clients aged between 4 and 74, most extensively with children and young people in schools and external counselling services. I have been working for over four years as a clinical supervisor in a variety of settings including on Module 3 at Terapia, in other counselling services and privately. I also offer consultation/reflective practice sessions to staff teams in social care projects.

My supervision practice is informed by mindfulness, relational neuroscience and attachment frameworks as well as the core elements of psychodynamic, humanistic and creative arts approaches. I aim to work flexibly, creatively and relationally in response to the needs of my supervisees and clients.
